Behind the Wheel Student Journal Let’s Practise Drive Safe Handbook Learner’s Permit Theory Test

Behind the Wheel is a compulsory journal to complete at home before you can sit the Learner’s Permit Theory Test.

If you attend a Keys4Life Parent information session with your parent you will be given a Let's Practise booklet.

This resource includes information about the Graduated Driver Training and Licensing (GDT&L) system in WA, the learn to drive process, and other handy tips about being a safer driver.

This handbook is a comprehensive guide to the road rules that apply in Western Australia and has been written primarily to help new drivers prepare for a lifetime of safe driving.

If you successfully complete the Keys4Life program you will have the opportunity to sit the Learner’s Permit Theory Test at school. If you pass the test with 24/30 or above, you can provide your Keys4Life certificate to the WA Department of Transport and will be exempt from paying the theory test portion of the fee.
