Wraparound def: a philosophy, a process, an approach. An intensive, holistic method of engaging with young people who are experiencing issues related to alcohol or other drug use.
Wraparound is an early intervention program for school staff. Intervening early to address student alcohol and other drug (AOD) use is crucial because it can prevent escalation of problems and enhance student wellbeing.
When concerns exist around student AOD use, Wraparound can assist staff to engage and support students more effectively and as relevant to their role in the school. All staff have a role in early intervention.
