Call for community comment on road safety plan

Western Australians have the opportunity to consider a 12-year package of actions that has the potential to halve the number of people killed and seriously injured on our roads.

The Road Safety Council has released its Towards Zero - getting there together discussion paper for public comment, and is asking all Western Australians to read, consider and comment on recommendations that will inform the State’s road safety strategy from 2008-2020.

The document brings together community views and expert recommendations on the best ways to cut the numbers of people being seriously injured and killed on WA roads. Community forums to discuss the paper will be held in each WA region between now and November.

For a list of forum dates and registration details go to www.officeofroadsafety.wa.gov.au

The discussion paper can be viewed and commented on online at Synovate Research Company  ( https://ask10.synovate.net/mrIWeb/mrIWeb.dll?I.Project=AU25668 )

Alternatively, you can view the Toward Zero: Discussion Paper for the 2008 - 2020 Strategy and the Feedback form PDF format.
