Professional Learning

SDERA offers a range of face-to-face and online professional learning that aims to build the capacity of educators working with children and young people to deliver best practice resilience, drug and road safety education programs. The three levels of professional learning we offer are designed to build participants’ knowledge and influence their professional practices within their specific context and at their stage of expertise, and to reflect the learning requirements of the children and young people they educate.

To meet your needs we can customise the professional learning we offer or broker specific professional learning solutions in both metropolitan and regional areas. You and your colleagues can be hosted by SDERA or we can come to you.

Our Talking Drugs workshop explores information on drugs and discuss implementing drug education content in the secondary years. Talking Drugs includes a considered focus on methamphetamine. School staff can also access our online professional learning module that examines information on methamphetamine and other drugs.
